| These pictures are of the mountainsand lakes we crossed as we flew from Mossburn towards Preservation Inlet. We flew over some magnificent country. Lake Monowai. Hauroko and Poteriteri passed beneath us like mighty shards of glass on a broken landscape. A decent fall of snow the night before put the icing on the cake, literally! Flying this far south and seeing the mountains stretch as far north as the eye can see helps you appreciate the scale of this grand place. It was one of the most impressive sights you could imagine. |
